How to Stop Acne Reinfection 1

Acne can be quite troublesome for anyone since they cause discomfort and pain. Not only do they blemish your smooth skin, they leave marks behind that are sometimes hard to erase.

Acne can get reinfected if bacteria invade them in the air or if you scratch them inadvertently. Acne is caused by blockage of skin pores and this gives rise to blister-like inflammation of the affected skin.

Here are some tips and tricks on how to stop acne reinfection:

Avoid scratching the old acne area

Once acne has erupted in some areas of the face, neck, or chest, it takes two or three days for it to dry up. Care should be taken to avoid scratching these acne or pimples just when they are about to dry. This will trigger the bacteria around, and acne may get reinfected.

Frequently change your pillowcases and bedsheets

The bacteria present in the old acne can settle in damp areas of your bedsheets and pillowcases. Make it a point to frequently change the pillowcases as well as bedspreads and sheets to avoid reinfection of acne.

Wash your face and neck regularly

Oily skin is most prone to acne reinfection. Those who possess oily skin should make it a habit to wash their face with water at least four to five times a day. After washing, dab the cleansed area with a clean napkin instead of vigorously wiping your face and neck. Too much pressure can burst open some of the old acne-causing reinfection of the acne.

Avoid using harsh soaps and face washes

You must know what type of soap or face wash suits you best. Do not fall into advertising traps and indulge in all the new soaps and face washes in the market. The chances are that you will end up with more acne and reinfection than otherwise.

Eat healthy food with less oil content

It has been observed that healthy and nutritious food promotes the opening of skin pores and the free circulation of air in the skin. This can help in keeping acne reinfection away from your delicate skin. Eating oily food can increase acne eruptions on the surface.

Change your innerwear every day

Since excessive sweating can block the skin pores, and promote the growth of bacteria, it is advisable to change your linen, especially brassieres and t-shirts every day to keep your skin healthy and acne-free.

Use mild detergents to wash clothes

The use of quality detergents and mild soaps to wash your clothes and bedsheets can help in keeping acne reinfection away. The harsh detergents can irritate your skin if left behind on the clothes and cause blockage of your skin pores, consequently leading to acne.

Use mild foundation creams before applying intense makeup

Many of the ingredients in make up kits can prove to be quite harmful for your type of skin. Therefore, it is always better to apply a thin layer of foundation cream under makeup to keep your skin flawless and acne-free.

These are the few tips and tricks on how to stop acne reinfection. I hope it helps you to have acne free spotlessly glowing skin!
