One way to apply ice to your foot is to use an ice pack. You can buy a specially made ice pack or make one yourself at home by adding crushed ice to a plastic bag or wet towel. Apply the ice pack to the affected area and make sure you touch every area where you experience pain. Continue moving the ice pack around your injured foot for fifteen minutes to reduce pain and swelling.

Instead of using an ice pack, you can create an ice bath. To make an ice bath simply fill up the tub or a pan with water and a bunch of ice to make the bathwater ice cold. Now soak your foot in the ice-cold water for up to 20 minutes until you feel the pain reduces to your satisfaction.

Arnica

Arnica is a herb that you can find at your local health food store. This herb is packed with natural healing properties that can help provide relief from muscle and joint pains. The arnica herb is highly effective against foot pains because of the anti-inflammatory properties that help it act as a natural pain reliever.

You apply arnica topically to the affected areas on your foot before you go to sleep at night. You’ll need to make sure you apply a generous amount of the arnica ointment two times each day to experience the most relief from the pain.

You can make an effective arnica and Epsom salt bath to soak your foot in. Simply fill your tub with some warm water and add 20 drops of arnica oil and 1/2 a cup of Epsom salt to it. Combine this mixture thoroughly and then soak your feet in the arnica and Epsom salt foot soak for up to 20 minutes.

Peppermint Oil

Sometimes you can experience foot pain because of some kind of bacterial or fungal infection in your feet. Even excessive dry feet can cause some discomfort and pain. Peppermint oil will help naturally hydrate your feet and keep them from burning or itching.
