For this reason, you should be very careful about what and how much you eat, since abusing salt can cause many side effects and health problems, such as high blood pressure.

#1. Dry mouth

Do you often sense that your mouth is dry? You probably consume too much salt. Once your body receives massive amounts of sodium, the body begins to feel an imbalance. To deal with this condition, your body needs more fluids – water. That is why the brain sends signals of thirst, hinting that you should drink more water.

#2. Headaches

If you are often suffering from headaches, think about whether or not you’re abusing salt. Many studies have found that increased sodium intake leads to more frequent problems.

There is also an active link between salt and headaches. The results from these studies also showed that salt overload leads to more problems, even in people with normal blood pressure.

#3. Having high blood pressure

High sodium intake leads to severe tissue and functional disorders in the body.
