In today’s world, every woman wants to be a celebrity. From younger stars such as Lea Michele to older ones like Jennifer Aniston, every female has an idol that she wants to look like. It may seem intimidating since these icons have millions of dollars to spend, but looking like your idol doesn’t have to be. From simple makeup tips to techniques such as microdermabrasion, you can seem like a celebrity walking the red carpet at any time.
A sharp hairstyle is just one example of how a woman can look like a celebrity. During the ‘90s, the television show Friends was famous and so was one of its stars, Jennifer Aniston. Almost every woman who went into a salon during the shows run wanted “the Rachel.” Every season, Aniston’s character, Rachel Green, had a different hairstyle, and this is what women wanted.
Even younger girls want the same hairstyles as their favorite celebrities. Today everyone loves Glee and idolizes Lea Michele. While I don’t know how many girls walk into a salon asking for a Rachel Berry cut, I do know girls want the latest style.
When a report recently came out showing Duchess Kate’s beauty cost ($37,728 a year), most thought, “that’s great, she can afford it, and I can’t.” Well, you are wrong. Just because you are not a duchess doesn’t mean you can’t look like Kate Middleton.
When you go and purchase makeup, if you want to wear the same items as Kate, stock up on Bobbi Brown and Lancome. Keep in mind that there are cheaper products out there that will make you look just as fabulous. You don’t need to break your budget. Many people find quality products at drugstores for a lot less and end up looking better than those spending a fortune.
There are many ways you can get glowing skin like your favorite celebrity. One way is to lather on cleansers, moisturizers, and creams. There are even products that help eliminate scars, cellulite, and stretch marks. However, if you don’t want to go through such a routine every day, there are other options.
Microdermabrasion is considered a technique that has crossed over from Hollywood. Celebrities (and their fans) are turning to this as a cheaper alternative to plastic surgery and Botox. A bonus is you don’t always have to go to a medical office. You may be able to have this done at your local salon or even do it yourself at home. With this being said, you can now say goodbye to those unwanted wrinkles and scars on your face, neck, chest, arms, and hands.
Clothes make the person
Celebrities are lucky in the fact they can walk the red carpet in “borrowed” designer gowns (yes, they usually have to give the dresses back at the end of the night). That doesn’t mean you can’t look like them when you go out, though. Many designers are selling their clothes in stores that non-celebrities shop at. This not only helps your wallet but allows you to feel like you are a celebrity in your way. Even if you don’t purchase this clothing, there are still plenty of stores out there than can get you red carpet-worthy.
There is no need to blow your budget on material things that you may outgrow. Just remember, you don’t have to spend millions to look like your favorite celeb.
