Keep walking

It is vital to walk when possible. The world is kind of set out to minimize walking. Think of elevators, escalators, cars, buses, and the likes. All of these aim at reducing the amount of walking us people do daily. This is convenient, but not suitable for your energy levels. Choose to walk when you can and get the heart rate up.

Try sprinting

It is a proven fact that making a few sprints once a week can up your hormone levels as well as improving your energy. This does not necessarily mean running, a speedy cycling session, or maybe even rowing will have the same effect as running. Sprinting also increases your power, fitness, and strength. Avoid overdoing the sprints, though, as it can cause an unhealthy amount of stress hormone secretion.

Pump some iron

Primarily what is meant by this is doing some heavy lifting regularly. This does not necessarily have to be weights or gym equipment, as your body weight will also be sufficient in this case. Think of exercises such as push-ups or pull-ups. What is important to note is that heavy lifting stimulates the secretion of the growth hormone, which also leads to an increase in energy as well as muscle strength. You could even incorporate the use of supplements such as whey protein into your routine.

What it all comes down to is something as simple as oxygen. So next time you are waiting on the elevator to go down three floors, instead consider taking a quick paddle down the stairs. It is also so important to always take deep breaths, even when siting at your desk in the office. The deeper your inspirations are, the more oxygen you will inhale, which means more energy.
