I’m curious hence I am asking this question. Have you ever heard of vaginoplasty and labiaplasty? A lot of my friends, when I asked them the question, haven’t heard about these two, nor do they have any idea about this that’s why I have decided to write this.
Let me begin by saying that some women feel that after going through multiple childbirths; their ‘most private part’ is no longer ‘as it was’. Some women, for example, are saying that it has slacked or loosened after giving birth to their children. Some women add that theirs has lost all sensation, that it has affected their most intimate relations with their partners. For these reasons and more, some women have sought the help of doctors for help.
What Is Vaginoplasty?
Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure done by cosmetic surgeons and/or plastic surgeons on a woman’s vagina. The purpose of the operation is to “tighten up” the vagina that has loosened or slacked after going through multiple childbirths and aging. What the surgeon does in vaginoplasty is to tighten the vaginal tissues to tighten it.
What Is Labiaplasty?
Labiaplasty is another operation also known as plastic surgery on the labia or the lips surrounding the vagina. The patient can choose, upon the counsel of the doctor or the surgeon, which labia to operate on – the labia major or the outer and much larger vaginal lips or the labia minor, the smaller and inner vaginal lips. More often, plastic surgeons and/or cosmetic surgeons performed labiaplasty with vaginoplasty.
Some Very Important Questions to Ask
For women considering these procedures, it will be well to ask first if you really think that they are necessary. Of course, the answer to the question depends on the person seeking the medical procedure; the answers differ from person to person. It will be very helpful, however, to consider some very important things before going ‘under the knife’.
Are the procedures effective? Will they really enhance sensitivity and improve pleasures from physical intimacy? Medical professionals differ in their opinions about the effectiveness of these two surgeries. Some doctors say that the premise that these two surgeries improve the sensitivity of the organ is not really 100 percent true. They are saying that satisfaction from intimate relations is also affected by a lot of things such as emotional attachment to the partner, mental and emotional conditions, the environment, etc. Aesthetically, the area operated on will became ‘better looking’, but then not very many women are really into this.
Just to give everyone an idea of how much these procedures cost, vaginoplasty with labiaplasty done together is priced around $3,500 to $12,000. Here’s another fact: most health insurance plans do not cover vaginoplasty or labiaplasty unless it is medically crucial and highly required by a doctor for health reasons.
