6 Modern But Not Always Accurate Medical Diagnoses

Primary symptoms can often be misdiagnosed by us and lead to a misdiagnosis and subsequent mistaken treatment with the corresponding unknown effects.

Are you sure that you are not trying to “skip” a visit to the doctor, and you do not want to be diagnosed by the many sources of information today?

To prevent this from occurring, we offer you a list of the most popular diagnoses today, which sometimes prove to be misleading:

#1. Chronic fatigue syndrome

This term originated initially in 1988, and in 1990, a National Center for the Treatment of Chronic Fatigue was established in the United States. But enough research into the causes and clinical picture of the disease has not yet been made. Pathology is challenging to diagnose and does not lend itself to effective treatment. Here are some of the presumable symptoms:

The only common advice from doctors is to rest longer and make more movements. And no drugs, techniques, and other means!

What we should do?

Any discomfort is an occasion to check your health – the presence of a virus or chronic infection that has similar symptoms. Also, review your psychological problems. Adjust your daily work and leisure regime, take the time for walking, and … you’ll probably forget about the diagnosis.

#2. Dysbacteriosis

Microflora of the intestine is individual to each organism. Sufficient accurate data on all beneficial and harmful bacteria that inhabit the body is not yet available. Dysbacteriosis studies give only approximate results and depend mostly on what you most recently ate.  Bowel biopsy can provide a more useful picture.

What we should do?

If you feel nausea, swollen stomach, have constipation or disorder, bad breath, or allergic reactions to seemingly harmless products, seek immediate assistance from a gastroenterologist. Taking preventative probiotic supplements at your own discretion is pointless. They can be applied, but only in combination with preparations that treat the underlying problem.

#3. Bowel plaque

Just the lazy person has not spoken yet about the toxins, the plaque, and everything needed to purify the body. Herbs, medicaments, enemas are often offered for purification … But at the same time, it should be emphasized that in no serious medical source is the term “plaque” not mentioned.

What we should do?

If you have any doubt that something is wrong with your health and you suffer from indigestion or pale face, contact your doctor immediately and have a thorough examination of the abdominal cavity. Let the doctor then decide what medication you need: hepatoprotection, laxatives, or others. Adequately selected treatment along with the right diet will help you clear your body from unpleasant sensations and … a delusion.

#4. Increased cholesterol levels

Cholesterol is only one of the predisposing factors for the development of the cardiovascular disease. And it is not the main one! It is when so much in the quantity that it matters, as its behavior in metabolism does. The peculiarities of lipid (fat) exchange are genetically determined. And no biofuel or yogurt can change it.

What we should do?

Do not succumb to anti-cholesterol hysteria – other laws apply to the trade, not those of a healthy lifestyle. Calmly determine your individual risk factors, do the research that your doctor will appoint, and after 40 years of age, check your blood cholesterol every year.

#5. Helminthiasis

Everywhere, we can read that “up to 80% of all existing diseases are directly caused by parasites or as a consequence of their vital activity in an organism …”

There are infectious and parasitic diseases on which the World Health Organization makes its own statistics. Their 2005 report states that “parasitic diseases and infectious diseases make up 9% of the total morbidity.”

What we should do?

There is no room for panic if you have cared for an unknown animal or have eaten a piece of poorly fried fish. Of course, in the presence of specific complaints (diarrhea, fever, stomach ache), you should check with a parasitologist who will prescribe the necessary medication, if necessary.

#6. Avitaminosis

Until recently, people only talked about good things of vitamins – that they are our advocates against cancer, heart attacks, colds. Hardly a panacea against all diseases and a potion of eternal youth! There is indeed no one who has not heard that if he or she is often ill, maybe it is because of a lack of vitamins in the body.

There is no dispute – to one degree or another, we experience vitamin deficiency. But how much and what exactly can be determined only after conducting blood tests, assessing the objective condition, and reviewing concomitant illnesses. There is even an opinion that the body actually begins to suffer from avitaminosis just in the case of excessive amounts of one or several vitamins amid the shortage of others.

What we should do?

Do you have to continually take vitamins, and what should be prescribed only by your treating physician? This is basically accurate for fat-soluble vitamins (A, E, and D) that accumulate in the body, and their excessive amount can have serious consequences. Seasonal poly-vitamin complexes used according to the prescriptions cannot cause harm.
