First, you want to wash your feet in soap and water and thoroughly dry before soaking in Listerine for 30 minutes. Another soaking treatment can be done with white or apple cider vinegar.
Mix 50% vinegar with 50% hot water and soak for 30 minutes. You do not want to use pure vinegar, or you risk killing the beneficial bacteria on your nails. Lastly, you can also rub essential oils on the nails to treat the fungus. This is an excellent option for treating toenail fungus and can be done with several oils ranging from tea tree to clove oil.

Herbal vitamins can also help in the treatment of nail fungus. There are several you can choose from, but you want to focus on those that can help boost your immune system. This is truly a natural treatment, but you should speak with your doctor if you’re taking any other medication. Some of the supplements that are suggested include magnesium, calcium, tea tree oil, and grapefruit seed extract.
Care for the Nails
It’s essential to care for your nails regularly and adequately. This means keeping your nails trimmed, doing a good job when washing your feet, and being careful of shady manicurists and pedicurists who aren’t using sanitary methods.
Choose Well Ventilated Footwear
