However, whether you have mental health problems or not, it’s crucial that you look after your mental health in the same way as your physical health. Pregnancy

If you are happy to be pregnant and it is something you want, that doesn’t mean your mental health won’t be affected. The hormonal changes in your body, the fear of being pregnant, giving birth, being a parent, and more can all affect you.

It’s a good idea to get as much information as you can and, if you need to, find a therapist who can guide you through the process. On top of this, you must remember to eat and drink healthily and get enough sleep; this all has a positive effect on your physical and mental health.

Debt

Financial issues, and specifically debt, can seriously harm your mental health, especially if you have a lot of debt and you are struggling to pay it back. You’ll find that this struggle starts to take complete hold until it’s all you can think about, and at this point, you won’t be able to see any positive paths, and finding a solution will be harder.

If you have debt, you need to think about your mental health. As much as you might want to pay everything back, you may need to think of other options if this will cause you more mental anguish.

Career

Going to work in a job you dislike or even actively hate is bad for your mental health. You’ll become more and more depressed and stressed about attending work, and you certainly won’t try your best due to a lack of motivation. Sadly, this can lead to even more work problems if you aren’t able to do the job you’re paid for well enough.

It’s hard, but if you want to put your mental health first, you need to find a career that you enjoy. There will always be bad days no matter what you do, but if you enjoy the majority of your work, you’ll be much happier and less stressed. It might mean starting all over again, but if it means improving your mental health, it’s worth it.
