How to keep illness at bay

When illness strikes, it can leave you in bed for days, or longer, disrupting your regular routine and potentially losing you money. Get some rest!

One of the biggest causes of stress, irritation and a low immune system is lack of sleep. If you’re burning the candle at both ends of the day, getting up early and working late, you are not doing yourself any favors in the long-term. Although life can be very busy, with lots of things to juggle, you should always aim, at the end of the day, to get a good, continuous rest.

If you’re a shift worker, including overnight duties, then it’s even more important to get into a habit of developing a sleep routine that works for you and ensures that you have enough recovery time to take on whatever the next day throws at you.
