Deciding quick smoking is the easiest part of the process. Actually quitting will be much more difficult, but is something that you can do if you really set your mind to it. Here are 3 tips to help you quick smoking for good:

  1. Cinnamon mouth wash- When you’re quitting smoking you need all the help that you can get. Trying to quit cold turkey without any aids usually leads to failure for most. One of the things that you can do to make sure that you quit for good is to use cinnamon mouth wash. It may sound like a really simple idea, but cleaning your mouth thoroughly with cinnamon mouth wash will make cigarettes taste really bad. This can help you to cure the craving for them because your brain will begin to associate them with the bad taste caused by the mouth wash. Certainly, this won’t make the cravings go away altogether, but it can help.
  2. Chewing gum- When you feel an intense craving to smoke coming on, you need to do something to get your mind off of it quickly. If you aren’t able to take your focus off wanting to smoke, then there is a good chance that you will succumb to the temptation and start smoking again. One of the best ways to get your mind off the craving that you have is to chew gum. When you feel an intense desire coming on, grab a stick of gum and start eating as soon as you can. Not only should you chew gum to help take your mind off things, but you should try and do a new activity that requires more focus so that your mind stays busy.
  3. Cutting out the temptation- As you begin your journey to a healthier life where you don’t depend on smoking, one of the most important things you can do is cut out all of the temptations in your life. You need to get rid of any real cigarettes that you have on you so that there will be nothing around to smoke if you do get an urge. You should also get rid of anything that reminds you of smoking, including your lighters. If feasible, you may want to consider getting new clothes if you can’t get the smell of smoke out of your existing closet. Even something as simple as the smell of smoke can make you want to smoke again, so you need to do all you can to get rid of all temptation.

Although it does require a lot of hard work and dedication, the benefits of quitting smoking far outweigh the trials.
