Professor Colin T. Campbell was recently at a great crossroad in his life – he needed to choose one between his professional career and sharing the new scientific discoveries that would change the world for the better with everyone. Even the CIA showed up at his door asking questions about his new discoveries while his colleagues warned him not to continue the controversial research. He was also threatened with being fired but despite all this, Dr. Campbell chose the truth.
Colin T. Campbell is a professor of nutritional biochemistry at the Cornell University and during his latest research – he discovered that the main reason behind chronic diseases and even cancer was consuming animal products including meat, milk and fish. He managed to find a link between breast cancer and “casein” which is a protein found in milk.
And although Dr. Campbell is a professional, he highly disapproves of popular diets and doesn’t get along with celebrity doctors as his main goal is to provide health to everyone, including the people of the world that cannot afford pharmaceutical drugs and treatments.
According to him, doctors can’t be nutritionists as they don’t have the professional training to give diet advices. But when it comes to him, he’s spent more than 50 years in publicly financed labs and he now wants to share the results of his research with the world as well as the fact that simple diet changes can prevent heart disease, reduce the risk of cancer and even treat cancer itself.
According to the research of Dr. Campbell, consuming animal products activates cancer cells, while reducing the intake of meat reduces the risk of cancer. In other words a high-protein diet increases the proliferation of cancer cells and provides oxygen to free radicals, which are often the cause of cancer.
The research of Dr. Campbell strongly points out that the cure for cancer is believe it or not – in plants.
Dr. Campbell comes from a conservative family which lived on a farm and growing up, he was convinced that milk was of a great nutritional value. When he began his academic career, he studied dietary protein among children in the Philippines and was completely blown when he found a link between animal protein and liver cancer.
What shocked him even more was when he read an Indian study which stated the same thing. This went against almost everything that he ever believed until then, so he wrote a book on diet and epidemiologic studies along with his son Thomas back in 2005. Although he expected a limited response from the public, his book sold over a million copies and was translated in 25 different languages. In 2013 he wrote another bestseller book in which he mentions how casein is the worst carcinogenic ever identified.4
And although his research was not approved for human clinical trials, smaller studies showed that plant-based diet can ACTUALLY treat heart disease.
Edward Giovannucci is another professor of nutrition and epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health and he agrees with the claims of Dr. Campbell. He believes that the common diet is the source of all bad health in the world and that the worst thing about the western diet is that people eat too much, not only because they consume a lot of casein foods.
But despite this, the public still prefers consuming animal products. While it may be true that milk is more beneficial than soda drinks, studies show that milk doesn’t improve the quality of bones in the later years, but quite the opposite – it increases the risk of osteoporosis later in life.
The Cornell Chronicle was interested in publishing the research of Dr. Campbell but they never did as a result of pressure done by the Big Pharmacy industry on universities and small media.
Dr. Campbell in his book wrote about the efforts of some people in the American nutritional community rejecting his membership. Currently he is presenting his research among people in North Carolina and New York and offers free classes, where he speaks of how our government is ignoring science while it praises and thrives off corporative research.
The global economy is spreading across crops, livestock, agriculture and Agrochemical Corporation to hospitals and medical facilities as well as drugs and pharmaceutical companies. This economy recommends certain diets that praise dairy products and meat consumption, only so the pharma industry can thrive off the profits, while people are unaware that this can lead to fatal consequences.
