5 Things to Know About Electronic Cigarette Kits

Smoking, a proven dangerous activity, can harm different organs of the body. While the effects of smoking on the lungs aren’t unknown, it isn’t just the lungs that we are talking about. Interestingly, an alarming 40 million claim to be smokers in the U.S. However, nearly 70 percent of them report that they want to quit, and a little more than 42 percent say they’ve tried to quit during the past year.

Perhaps that’s the reason a lot of these 40 million seems to have taken up e-smoking, and now there is the Davinci IQ Vaporizer which makes vaping even more convenient. E-cigarettes are little nicotine delivery tubes that emit vaporized non-nicotine and are battery-powered. They heat up a certain liquid that you puff instead of burning tobacco. E-cigarette kits have options such as a rechargeable or disposable ones

Here are 5 things you must be certain about while using e-cigs:

An e-cigarette kit may not necessarily help you quit smoking

Studies have suggested that even young smokers may take to actual smoking due to smoking these electronic ones. Once they turn off age, they may want to try the actual thing instead of smoking the electronic one. So while a chain smoker who uses an e-cigarette to wean off the smoking habit is a safe option, but not for a young teenager who has not even tried the real thing yet.

An e-cigarette kit may not exactly be Kid-friendly

The proportion of middle and high-school kids who have started using e-cigarette starter kits doubled to nearly 7%, or almost 2 million students, between 2011 and 2012, according to a recent report by the CDC. The various fruit flavors don’t help this statistic either. However, this is probably better than them smoking the real cigarette.

E-cigarette starter kits can range from $30 to $100 and sometimes more. You can also find replacement cartridges for a refill at $600, as opposed to maybe a $1000 that a smoker would spend on a yearly basis on regular cigarettes!

What are the risks?

E-cigarettes in the kits are said to be a whole lot safer and better than the real cigarettes in terms of nicotine levels and tobacco. Since these cigarettes produce water vapor and not smoke, they are far safer from traditional cigarettes.

Are they healthier?

E-cigarette kits are built and advertised as healthier cigarettes. Since there is no fire at the end tip, there is no combustion. There are a number of other factors that can be taken into consideration. For one, there’s no tobacco smoke and there are no carcinogens that you would find in a cigarette. The only substance that you do find in an e-cigarette is nicotine, in levels that are far lesser than those of traditional cigarettes. Interestingly, you can even find e-cigarettes that do not have nicotine However, research is still continuing in this respect, as the nicotine solution filled within some of the e-cigarettes may still be carcinogenic when released in the air.
