Top 10 Tips To Lose Weight

Published

on

It’s still February and hopefully, you’ve been sticking to your new year’s resolution of shedding a few pounds around your waist. We’re so proud of you! Especially since 70% of people have already dropped the resolution and are chowing down on unhealthy snacks and not doing any kind of fitness routines.

So to help you with your resolution we’ve made a list of weight loss tips:

Snacks, doing it the right way

Snacking in between can be turned into your best weight loss fix yet. Normally you’d eat healthily but then snack on chips, sweets, and fizzy drinks in between. Cut out all those sugar intense snacks and switch them with something healthy, usually something with a crunch, such as carrots, or berries.

Television, turn that sucker off!

After work, I used to drop into the couch and put on a few series. These days we don’t have a reason to miss our episodes since we have PVR (which records your series for later). Even if you don’t have PVR you should start rescheduling and get into a routine of doing some kind of exercise around the house. Even if it’s just watering the plants or taking out the trash. You’ll feel better for it and you’ll shed a few pounds, you might even get some time to chat with your family.

Motivate yourself with daily Scale checks

A great way to keep a check on your weight is by checking your weight daily on your scale. If I see that I picked up a kilogram I tend to take action immediately and try to burn that fat as soon as possible. It’s a great way to motivate yourself as well and you’ll be a lot more concerned about what you eat.

Running, Jogging, Swimming and Cycling

You don’t have to do all of them at once but you’ll have to at least get one of these in. It’s important to get an activity that burns the kilojoules you put into your body. The best exercise we can recommend out of these four is swimming since it exercises all of your muscles, cools you off, and doesn’t put any stress on your muscles as some exercise tend to do.

Before and After Photos

One of the best motivations for me to keep on losing weight is to use a before and after photo. Find an old photo of you (when I say old I mean one form a year ago when you feel you were overweight). Now create a timeline of photos from the photo you picked as the start of adding photos as you lose weight.
