The Jewellery

Australia has an extremely strong mining industry is not only coal and other fossil fuels but also with rare metals and precious stones. The Australian diamond brokers have a great natural resource on tap with lots of variety of precious stones, gems, and metals available. This has led to designers such as Sylvia Markovina setting up their own jewelry house.

Sylvia made herself a name in 2005 working for various large jewelry houses and then set up her own in 2010 which has proved very successful. With access to all sorts of raw materials readily available and such a mishmash of cultures for inspiration, this leads to a wide variety of different styles and designs coming out of Australia. The new designers who are breaking through are showing a style and flavor which is unique to this magnificent country.

With the rise in popularity of the fashion houses in Australia, and also coupled with the increasing amount of big Hollywood movies being produced in the country, this has lead to a rise in the number of famous makeup artists in the country as well. Giving them the opportunity to work with Hollywood’s finest special effects and makeup designers, the actors and actresses, directors and also working on the fashion side of the business working with all of the top models walking the catwalk at present.
