One of the most annoying things for children is bug bites. These can become serious if a child is constantly scratching it. The best solution for bug bites is baking soda. Take a teaspoon of baking soda and mix it with just enough water to make a thick paste, and then smear it on the bites allowing it to dry. This will not only help with the itching, but the alkaline baking soda helps keep the swelling down.
No one likes a nosebleed no matter how old you are. Cayenne pepper has been used in many different cultures around the world to help stop nose bleeds. Once you have kept your child’s head upright with their nostrils pinched, then sprinkle a little bit of ground cayenne pepper on a moistened cotton swab and dab it on the inside of the nose onto the area of bleeding.
