Whatever the reason, it’s there, in permanent ink – reds, blues and black. Whatever the colour, the tattoo is etched on your skin and needs to be removed.
At the time, it was a great idea, getting a tattoo of your loved one’s name, a picture of your favourite cartoon character, your favourite flower of simply just a butterfly, heart or design of your choice. But now you’re older, your taste has changed, the loved one is now an ex. Therefore, this tattoo needs to be removed and quickly.
Laser removal is the perfect way to free yourself from this piece of art you once loved. Depending on the size and colour, the cost and results will vary. For example, if you have a large tattoo with high pigment colours like yellow, green or purple it will cost more because there is more ink to be removed and due to the pigment colours. These can remain, although they will be more ‘ghostly’. Removal of a small tattoo that is purely black Indian ink will be cheaper because there is less ink to be removed and this kind of tattoo ink responds well to the laser light.
The time it takes to remove the tattoo also depends on the size of the area to be treated. Generally, the larger the tattoo, the longer it takes for the tattoo to be removed, while the smaller the tattoo the less time it will take to be removed. The whole process of tattoo removal is faster than you would expect. However, it generally consists of 12 sessions of laser removal for the tattoo to fade away, because it will not happen with just one session – although there is a massive improvement after the first session. Each client is assessed professionally and time and cost is tailored to your needs.
Laser tattoo removal works by using the LTC™ Advanced NdYag Laser Technology. Pulses of light are directed on to the tattooed area for a fraction of a second. This can cause the area of skin tissue to become white in appearance. This lasts only for a few minutes and then will settle down. Redness and swelling is known to follow which will last for a few hours. The treatment is generally painless but if not, pain can be reduced by applying an ice pack to the area to help reduce swelling.
To help the healing of the treated area, the use of aloe vera will reduce any inflammation and a high sun screen protection cream should always be applied. Your unwanted tattoo can be a thing of the past with pain free laser tattoo removal treatment.
