Who likes dark circles? Well, nobody does. We get these dark circles around our eyes and we totally hate them as they make us look tired, sleepless, depressed, and stressed. They make us look dull and unattractive. Prevention is always better than cure but then, what to do if you already have them? There are many home remedies and methods to cure them effectively and permanently. Let’s check what are the few ingredients using which, you can both prevent and cure dark circles.

1. Blood Circulation

Proper blood circulation is really important in the capillaries. This will avoid blood accumulation.

2. Drink Adequate Water

At least 8 glasses of water are required to hydrate your skin. If possible, try to drink even more, but keep in mind to keep the intake not more than 4 liters a day.

3. Proper Sleep

You’re stressed and tired eyes need appropriate rest. Sleep for a minimum of 8 hours every day.  If you work regularly on a computer, then try to practice some eye exercises. Remind yourself to blink regularly.

4. Cucumber

Everyone knows that cucumber is one of the most commonly used remedies for swollen eyes. It’s a natural astringent and has skin lightening properties. Take thick slices of cucumber and place them in the refrigerator for half an hour and then take them out. Place them over your eyelids and relax for 20 minutes. Take them off and wash your face. Dip two cotton balls in cucumber juice. Place them over eyelids and leave them on for 20 minutes. Wash your face and you are done.

5. Potatoes

Like cucumbers, you can also use slices of potato. Potatoes have bleaching properties. Take thick potato slices and place them over your eyes, or just take some chilled potato juice and place cotton balls dipped in this juice over your eyes.

6. Rose Water

You might be aware of the numerous skin benefits of rose water. When you are away from home, this can be your savior. Dip two cotton balls in some rose water and place them over your eyelids and relax for 20min.

7. Tomatoes

Tomatoes can improve your skin tone and texture from both inside and outside. Prepare a mixture from juices of tomato, mint leaves, and lemon. Add a little salt to taste. Drink it. Similarly, you can consume a juice made from one tomato and 1tsp of lemon juice. Apply this to your dark circles and wash off after twenty minutes.

8. Almond Oil

Just apply the oil directly on your eyelids before going to sleep. You can also add some honey to make it more effective.

9. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice has excellent bleaching properties. Everyone knows this well. You can use this juice and directly apply it with cotton balls, but you may be a little concerned to use on your eyes. So instead, try this easy pack. Take some gram flour, a pinch of turmeric, lemon juice, and tomato juice. Mix them and make a paste. Apply this to the skin around your eyes and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse well and repeat this process for 2-3 times a week.

10. Apple

Apples are also one of the best remedies to cure dark circles naturally. Take thick slices of ripe apple and place them over eyelids. Leave for half an hour and then rinse well. You can also apply ripe green apple paste over eyelids in the same way.

11. Mint Leaves

Crush few mint leaves and make a paste. Apply it to eyelids and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse well. You can also add some tomato juice to it and use it.

12. Turmeric

The anti-inflammatory and antioxidants substances in turmeric are really important to the skin. Take some turmeric powder and mix it with some pineapple juice and make a paste. Apply this on your skin.

13. Teabags

Place two tea bags in a cup of hot water for a few minutes and then take them out. Let them cool and then place them over the eyelids. Leave them on for at least 10 minutes and then remove them. Do this every day. Within a week or two, you can clearly see the results.

14. Vitamin E Capsules

Get vitamin E capsules. Break a capsule carefully and apply it to the skin around the eyes. Rinse well after at least 10 minutes. I know its odor is unbearable, but still, it is recommended.

15. Cold Water

Take some cold water and dip a washcloth or napkin or cotton balls in it. Place them over your eyelids and relax. You can also use ice cubes wrapped in a cloth or just a spoon placed in the refrigerator for some time.
