  • Bottom part of back
  • Knees

The pain that it causes can be of just about any type. Some people report feeling shooting pains, while other says they feel a burn. Reports of feeling an ache in those areas are common as well. The strange part of the condition is that it makes people feel like their joints are hurting, even though the joints aren’t affected at all.

Unfortunately, researchers don’t know yet what causes Fibromyalgia. But what is known is that certain things can trigger the onset of the disease. This includes any kind of emotional or physical trauma from just about anything. People have been triggered from having some sort of emotional stress just as much as others who had the disease start because of some kind of surgical procedure or infection.

Diagnosis

Since the cause is still unknown, there’s no specific test for Fibromyalgia. But doctors do have many ways to get a pretty good idea for whether someone is likely to have it. Pain over the course of 3 months in any of the soft tissue areas is the first sure sign. After that, tests are done to make sure that you don’t have some other condition that might seem similar to the disease. This will include blood, thyroid, and Vitamin D tests.

Overall, it’s important to keep a lookout for your health in general, but Fibromyalgia pain management in specific because it’s good to start a coping regimen for living with the condition as soon as possible. Getting a diagnosis from a doctor can only occur if you’re watching to see whether you have some of the give-away symptoms such as soft tissue pain coupled with exhaustion and concentration lapses.
