Now that summer is just around the corner, you might be thinking about revamping your workout wardrobe if you’re going to be spending a lot of time up in the gym working on your fitness. You workout gear needs to be the perfect mix of effective and easy-on-the eye. Here are our favourite low and high budget options.
Primark t-shirts and vests – under £10
There’s no need to spend upwards of £10 on a simple workout vest. Budget fashion brands like Primark make a huge array of colourful and fashionable workout vests and t-shirts available to the gym bunny on a budget, which you can mix and match on top of your shorts or leggings and sports bra combo (whatever your needs!) You can go for a vest if allowing your skin to breathe is important, or a longer sleeved top if you wish to cover your arms.
Speedo Women’s Dive Turbodive Leaderback – £32
Made with unique Endurance fabric, this cool swimsuit comes in a fun ‘galaxy’ print – which makes it ideal for fitness swimming and looking cool at the same time. Like most Speedo suits, the low cutout at the back makes the design look modern and trendy, whilst the high front means you don’t have to worry about any in-pool wardrobe malfunctions.
Lululemon running pants – £70
This US-based yoga and running brand makes some of the best cropped running leggings. We like the classic design in the pastel lemon colour. Made from the highest quality fabric, these stretchy running leggings return to their factory shape so that they last for a decent amount of time. They’re not cheap but they’re definitely a good investment for the future if you plan to incorporate running as your main form of cardio.
Nike Free running shoes – £85
Good running form and injury avoidance starts with good quality footwear. Nike remain at the head of the pack with their wafer-light soles, breathable fabrics and gorgeous designs. Invest in a pair of Nike Free running shoes and they will see you through the running season ahead. We like the bright neon yellow-green colour way. If you’re going to go neon, you might as well go big! As well as making you super visible when you’re road running, these are on-trend enough to be worn as street wear.
When you’ve put in a couple of months sweat with your new fitness regime, it might be time to treat yourself when you’re ready to step out in something a little more black-tie than your workout gear! On our wish list this summer are timepieces from Watches of Switzerland and shoes from L.K Bennett.
