On your mark, get set, go! The sound of that gun always represented my opportunity to dominate. The feeling of the wind blowing through my hair made me forget about every single problem that I faced. On the track, I never faced the criticisms that I did in the classroom. On the track, I was never too slow to answer a question. On the track, I dominated and I could easily run away from my problems. On the track, I was running my life.
Running is more than exercise…
Running has always been therapeutic for me. It also serves as a great form of exercise as well. I competed in track and field for the majority of my high school tenure. I loved everything about running, it was a part of my life. Everything was fine until I suffered a major injury. The doctors told me that running would be out of the question for the rest of my high school career. The doctor told me that the prospect of running only heightened the possibility of re injury. The doctor read a long list of statistics about the likelihood of me competing in track and field. Fortunately, the doctor told me a lie.
I have always been one to defy the odds. When everything says no, I believe yes. To conclude the story, I went on my senior year in high school to hold 5 state titles. Running was not just a sport to me, it was my passion. The track was the only place where my problems dissolved into nothing. For that reason, running was, is, and always will be a way of life.
Running Shoes can play a huge role in your running experience.
When running, the type of shoe that you have has an amazing amount of influence on your success. There are several manufacturers of different types of running shoes. However, my favorites are usually from New Balance. It seems that they design their shoes with the intent of championship running. I have also had success with Nikes as well. I find that the arc in several of the types of Nike running shoes are designed to support runners. I love running. I love every aspect of running, and I know that my running shoes must be made by people who share my passion of running. I have heard people say that running away from your problems never solves anything, well I just run past them.
