Can You Be Too Healthy?
Eating healthy food can be a dangerous obsession and can actually hurt your health. A recent research study shows that not all food is created equal, and if you eat healthy you could be unhealthy.
Some people try new diets and end up sticking to them while others try many different diets and actually hurt their health. Find something that works for you and stick to it. One particular case in the study showed a woman who ate a lot of meat and sugar, and she cut those out of her diet. Eventually she was only eating raw fruits and vegetables and one day she fainted and found herself in the emergency room. Eating healthy can be a dangerous obsession if you are not careful. Here’s what you need to know in order to be healthy when you eat healthy.
Listen to Your Body
Focus on how you feel is more important than how you eat. Listening to your body is the most important aspect of any diet. Some people do better without eating lots of meats, while others need a lot of protein to function properly. You won’t understand what is best for your body until you listen to your body.
Often packaged foods have a lot of sugar in them. If you think you’re eating low-fat or fat-free foods, many times there are other chemicals that are added into them. Avoid them to feel much healthier.
Don’t Follow Trends
The diet industry is a master at manipulating people into thinking things are healthy when they are not really. Anything that seems new or unique is often a trend and is not always the best for you. Just because the talk show host is trying the new diet doesn’t mean it is best for you. Instead of following the crowd, pick a diet that is easy to follow and you can stick with forever.
