Food items rich in folic acid include dried beans, green leafy vegetables, and citrus fruits. Don’t consume more than 800 micrograms of folic acid to avoid putting yourself at risk.

Sleep

You need to get adequate sleep when you’re pregnant because your body is working overtime to manage both you and your newborn. Pregnant women usually feel tired a lot more than normal. It is recommended pregnant women get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.

Some women believe that they should just wait until they have given birth to start exercising. However, exercising while pregnant has been proven to have it’s benefits. When you exercise during pregnancy you will do the following:

  • You will be able to sleep better.

Avoid Cosmetic Products

Of course you want to look beautiful and vibrant while you’re pregnant. However, using certain cosmetic products can do more harm than good. Some cosmetic products have a chemical in it known as phthalates, which is unsafe for the development of your baby.

It is easy to inhale chemicals like phthalates, or these chemicals can be absorbed through your skin and reach your unborn baby. Look for cosmetic products that are not chemical based, and if you can just avoid using all cosmetic products for 9 months.
