Read Books

This may not seem like it will make any difference whatsoever to your healthcare during your pregnancy, but trust me it will make a huge difference! The most important thing during your pregnancy is that you are feeling calm, healthy and relaxed. Reading a book will give you that time to yourself to relax and be calm. You need to choose a book which will keep your stress levels down, so maybe pick a light hearted comedy or an autobiography.

Music

Music will make a huge difference to how you feel throughout your pregnancy; you should give yourself some time each week, or even each day to relax to some soothing music. The soothing music will take away all your worries leaving your feeling cleansed. The music will also help build self confidence in yourself which will be a huge help during your labour.

Sleep

You should sleep as much as you possible can at night! Studies have proven that a good night’s sleep will help your baby grow inside of you, meaning he will be healthier when he is born. When sleeping at night you should always try and sleep on your left, as it is much healthier for your baby. By sleeping on your left side at night, it will allow all the oxygen get to your baby.

Exercise

It will be very beneficial for you to keep exercising through your pregnancy, but it is advised to only do light exercise. You should try taking a short walk daily; this will keep your muscles strong throughout the pregnancy. You may also want to join groups where you can share and show other exercises which are helpful through pregnancy. It may also be a good idea to a join a yoga group.

Do not Drink Alcohol or Smoke

Smoking and drinking alcohol can very dangerous for you and your baby during pregnancy. It is advised that you should not smoke at all whilst you are pregnant as it can have serious women’s healthcare issues which can lead to your baby being born prematurely.
